You Better "Belize" It!

This past October, I had the incredible chance to explore the beautiful country of Belize. If you weren't aware, Belize is on the eastern coast of Central America and booming with life and culture. With every turn, I was able to breathe the salty air of the Caribbean Sea and immerse myself in the life of the Belizean people. Out of all my adventures, this trip left me wanting to stay forever.

While tubing down a river (and through a cave) is definitely an adventure of a lifetime, my favorite activity while in Belize would absolutely be horseback riding through Bacab Eco Park. What better way to immerse yourself in nature than by riding horseback? I have to say I'm a little biased because I absolutely love horses, but this trip was spectacular all the same.
My horse, Banana, had quite the personality as we ventured off into the forest. The grandeur of the rainforest reminded me of something I would only be able to see in movies, but here I was. Huge canopies stretched hundreds of feet above my head, giving the journey a shaded, mysterious feel. All I could hear was the pattering of the horses hooves on the dirt, birds singing their lovely songs above my head, and the rustling of leaves in the afternoon wind. All my worries and stress of reality back home quickly slipped to the back of my mind as I immersed myself in the beauty of Belize.

I could spend hours describing in detail the wonders of Belize during my short stay, but you have to see it to "Belize" it. Thank you Belize for giving me the memories of a lifetime, and Banana for being my spunky horse adventurer.
